Our Security Awareness Curriculum Framework is designed to prepare students for a secure digital world by focusing on digital safety and technical skills. Additionally, the curriculum framework encourages cross-curricular connections, while also addressing essential cybersecurity topics.
Designed to foster key competencies, the curriculum framework promotes:
"The students very much enjoyed the lesson in that it had realistic situations and acknowledged the complexities of online safety."
Shannon, 6th-grade Teacher, Virginia, USA
“I had a good experience teaching this lesson as the students understood how important this information is and why they need to learn it. We had great discussions, and students liked being able to share their own experience."
Victoria, Educator, Ontario, Canada
“The Security Awareness Curriculum will help provide students as young as kindergarten with the awareness and ability to keep themselves safe in the technological world they are growing up in. The curriculum is easy to access with short and direct lessons and can be worked into your daily routine."
Holly, Elementary Resource Teacher, Gatineau QC
“Fortinet's Cyber Security Awareness Curriculum provides an opportunity for educators and educational stakeholders to build their own capacity and understanding of topics related to digital safety and well-being. Building this capacity is important so that educators are better equipped to provide meaningful learning experiences for students. The lesson plans, background information, and suggested activities are thorough, and provide practical "dos", as opposed to "do nots", to help anyone living in the digital age make informed decisions to protect themselves from cyber risks.”
Tineke, Teacher, Simcoe Country District School Board, Ontario, Canada
